Mr. Sivadasan provides leadership to Envestnet | Retirement Solutions, and is focused on guiding the Company’s vision, strategy as well as organizational and business development activities.
Sivadasan has been with Envestnet for the last 17 years and has played various leadership roles. Sivadasan also leads the company's India subsidiary. Sivadasan has a distinguished record working with entrepreneurs, turning their ideas into innovative companies, and delivering solutions for Fortune 500 companies. He has extensive experience in global software delivery models and coordination of engineering activities across geographically distributed groups. He is also experienced in leading architecture, design, and development for large projects. For the past 17 years, his focus has been on the internet and e-commerce applications. He has acted as a lead architect and programmer for Hewlett-Packard, where he worked on building a Java Virtual machine and an embedded application delivery platform. He was also the founding Technology Officer for several start-up companies, including Stamps.com. Sivadasan has also worked as a technology consultant for application infrastructure companies like Quest Software and financial services companies like Discover Card.
Sivadasan is an active angel investor and enjoys working with entrepreneurs. Sivadasan holds a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from Kerala University, India.
Co-Founder, Senior Managing Director, Investments
Mr. Bernstein is responsible for all fiduciary services and investment activities and chairs ERS’ Investment Policy Committee. He has over 30 years of institutional asset management experience, including senior investment management and principal positions at Brinson Partners/UBS Asset Management and Delaware Investment Advisers. He has helped pioneer several asset classes including high yield corporate debt, mortgage and other asset-backed securitizations, emerging markets debt and equity, and nuclear decommissioning trusts, delivering these portfolios as separately managed institutional accounts, mutual funds and various other pooled vehicles. Prior to helping launch ERS, Mr. Bernstein had been a consultant to Envestnet’s PMC division, focusing on its asset allocation and investment capabilities.
A graduate of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania (BSE, 1976, summa cum laude), Mr. Bernstein has served as a Board Advisor to the Salomon Center for Financial Research (NYU) and Board Director/Finance Chair for the East West Institute (NY). He is a currently on the board of Fay Financial, Inc., Power Capital Partners LLC, Guitars Over Guns (“GOGO”), and RS Advisory, LLC.
Chief Technology Officer
As Chief Technology Officer at Envestnet Retirement Solutions, Ms. Vinod is responsible for product management, architecture and development of the Envestnet Retirement Solutions platform.
Vinod has about 20 years of experience in engineering and technology. Prior to joining Envestnet Retirement Solutions, Vinod served as CTO of Finaconnect and was responsible for the technology initiatives, product management, and business development of the Finaconnect platform. She successfully established and managed business partnerships focused on high growth, built effective client relationships and superior client experience. Before Finaconnect, she spent 12 years at IBM in various roles including design and development of highly scalable database product components, improving processes to drive efficiency and contributing to IBM Redbooks publications.
She holds a B.S in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Kerala, India.
Chief Operations Officer
Mr. Agrawal has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry. He joined Envestnet in 2002 and led the development of the Envestnet platform for institutional clients including a financial planning system based on advanced Monte Carlo techniques. Before joining Envestnet, Agrawal worked at DE Shaw & Co where he oversaw the unification of financial databases used by the various strategies and the group for management of data on financial instruments which fed the quantitative trading algorithms. Prior to that, Agrawal was with AT&T Bell Labs where he led the development of network monitoring/management systems based on artificial intelligence techniques.
Agrawal received a bachelor's degree in Engineering from IIT Kanpur and a master's degree in Engineering from Cornell University. He is also Series 65 licensed.
Chief Marketing Officer
Kelly Michel has over 25 years experience in the Retirement Services industry serving in many capacities. She is currently Chief Marketing Officer for Envestnet Retirement Solutions (ERS) based in San Jose, CA. In her current role, she is responsible for the market strategy for Envestnet Retirement Solutions’ innovative technology and investment solutions. Prior to Envestnet Retirement Solutions, she was EVP, Sales and Marketing for Newport Group, Senior Vice President, head of Retirement Consulting Services for AIG Advisor Group and spent 15 years in many different roles at Transamerica, an AEGON company, including Senior Vice President of Institutional Business Development. Prior to Transamerica, she spent eight years at Empower, where she began her retirement services career.
She received her MBA with an emphasis in Marketing and International Business through the D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She received her BS in Business Management from Pepperdine University Graziadio School of Business and Management University in Malibu, CA. She lives in Orange County California with her husband and son.
Senior Vice President, Sales
Sarrafi brings extensive executive and board level experience in the retirement industry to Envestnet Retirement Solutions as part of its acquisition of Castle Rock Innovations in 2015. As a founding partner and CEO of Castle Rock Innovations, Mr. Sarrafi was responsible for strategic direction for the company while building strong client relations and continued business growth. He led business development, marketing and partnerships for AXIS Platform which became a market leader in under 4 years.
Prior to founding Castle Rock Innovations, Sarrafi was in executive positions leading large scale implementation of ERP, Data Warehouse and ebusiness solutions for Fortune 50 companies. He served as CIO and VP of development for a technology-focused consulting company leading the growth from small startup to a leading consulting services company specializing in financial services prior to acquisition by CMGI.
Sarrafi has computer science and finance degrees from Central Connecticut State University and an Executive MBA from University of Connecticut.
Senior Vice President, Director, Fiduciary Services
Mr. Clark serves on the Envestnet Retirement Solutions investment committee responsible for monitoring qualitative manager due diligence and developing capital market assumptions.
Previously, Clark was the Chief Investment Officer at Fiduciary Plan Review, which Envestnet acquired assets of in 2013. Clark is a former board member for Defined Contribution Institutional Investment Association (DCIIA) and has spent time at Mesirow Financial, Morningstar, and Ibbotson Associates.
A graduate of Miami University in Ohio, Clark also earned his M.S. in Finance and M.B.A from DePaul University’s Kellstadt Graduate School of Business. Clark has received his Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®), Chartered Mutual Fund Consultant (CMFC®) and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) designations.
Senior Vice President, Client Services
Mr. Loch has more than 30 years of retirement plan management and technology solutions experience. Before joining Envestnet Retirement Solutions, Loch directed Castle Rock Innovations strategic direction, research and customer service in the development and rollout of the AXIS Retirement Plan Analytic Platform software service that supports the ability for retirement plan fiduciaries to support DOL mandated section 408(b)(2), 404a-5 regulatory fee disclosure reporting and benchmarking requirements. Prior to that, Loch founded Wealth Management Systems Inc., and introduced the WMSI Rollover Solutions Network, a cost-effective browser-based system that provides financial institutions with the system’s capability to capture and integrate outbound distributions from qualified retirement plans in the form of IRA Direct Rollovers.
Loch has previously held various executive level positions at Single-Point Financial, Universal Pensions, Inc. and Preferred Benefits.
Loch has been recognized by industry peers as one of the most influential people in the retirement services industry. He has been named twice by the 401(k)Wire as one of the "100 Most Influential People in the 401(k) Industry."
Senior Vice President, Business Development
Mr. Marr is responsible for all operations and delivery of the Envestnet Retirement Solutions AXIS Platform. As co-founder of Castle Rock Innovations and technology leader in building highly scalable and transaction intensive solutions for Fortune 100 companies, Marr has positioned AXIS Platform as leading retirement solution for the industry.
Prior to founding Castle Rock Innovations, Marr was a partner at SinglePoint Financial, Inc, architecting the company's flagship Life Goal Planner Solution. Prior to SinglePoint, he served as CTO for technology-focused consulting company with specialization in retirement service solutions. He is frequently quoted in publications for experties in building Cloud/SAAS based solutions.
Marr graduated Cum Laude from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science in computer science.
Senior Vice President, Managing Director, Envestnet Retirement Solutions India
As head of the India office, Mr. Nair oversees teams responsible for Product Development and Operations. He spent over 20 years in technology management for multinational companies, building large scale distributed applications. Some of his key contributions include Yahoo!'s display advertising systems and Earthlink's Webmail system. Most recently, he headed technology for Morningstar's Individual Investor business and for the Equity Data business in Chicago.
Nair holds an engineering degree in Electronics and Communications from the University of Kerala, a Masters in Computer Information Systems from Cleveland State University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Senior Vice President, Enterprise Sales
Denise is currently the Vice President of Sales for Envestnet Retirement Solutions (ERS). She is responsible for selling fiduciary outsourced 3(21) and 3(38) solutions along with Envestnet Retirement Solutions’s Advisor workstation technology platform. Denise has over 20 years’ experience in the institutional retirement marketplace. Previous to Envestnet Retirement Solutions, she held a variety of leadership roles at Prudential, MassMutual, Hartford, Transamerica and Schwab. Denise is a strategic thinker who combines problem-solving, project management and communications skills to drive effective solutions for institutional clients. She has a proven ability to drive pipeline through deep productive relationships with advisors, plan sponsors, cross-functional teams and industry influencers. Denise maintains a series 65 FINRA license, is a graduate of Bryant University with a BS in Marketing and is currently accepted into the MBA program at D’amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University. She serves as Vice President for Women in Pensions Network.
As a member of the Envestnet Retirement Solutions team, Mr. Osmond is liaison to all Envestnet Enterprise clients. Prior to joining the firm, Osmond had a 23-year career with First Boston and its successor, Credit Suisse. As a Managing Director at Credit Suisse, he focused on fixed-income and structured products and held roles in sales, sales management and relationship development with their largest institutional clients.
Osmond received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Colorado College and a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Finance from DePaul University. He holds the FINRA series 7, 8 and 63 securities licenses.
Mr. Namin brings over 25 years of extensive experience in the financial service industry and technology solutions. He is responsible for managing the business development and sales efforts for the Envestnet Retirement Solutions Platform Services. As an accomplished sales executive and business development officer that has successfully utilized keen analysis, insights and team approach to drive organizational improvements and implementation of best practices.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Namin was VP of Advisor Sales at Fiduciary Benchmarks, Inc. (“FBi”) driving retirement plan benchmarking services to the TOP 100 “401kwire” retirement advisors and establishing FBi as the pioneer in benchmarking retirement plan reporting.
Prior to FBi, Mr. Namin was the Director of National Accounts at Symetra Financial, Inc., an annuity distribution subsidiary of Symetra Insurance Co. Mr. Namin was instrumental in growing the annuity business to over $4 billion in annual sales and establishing over 25 new large institutional accounts including Charles Schwab Insurance and National Financial Partners (NFP).
Randy received his B.B.A concentration in Finance, Nichols College in Dudley, Massachusetts.
Senior Vice President, Product Development
Mr. Griffith has over 30 years of experience in the retirement plan and investment consulting industry. Griffith was President and owner of the largest Third Party Administration firm in western Pennsylvania providing open architecture, daily valuation recordkeeping and advisory services to corporate plan sponsors. The firm was also a founding member of Alliance Benefit Group, Inc., a nationwide provider of retirement services. After being acquired by Invesmart, Inc., Griffith became director of product development and was instrumental in the creation and development of their participant online investment advisory and managed account solutions.
Griffith is a Certified Pension Consultant (CPC) with the American Society of Pension Professionals and Actuaries (ASPPA) and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst™ (AIFA®) from the Center for Fiduciary Studies. He is also past president of Retirement Advisors and Designers of America.
Griffith received his B.B.A. from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.
Vice President, Operations
Mr. Sunod is responsible for heading all activities related to the Operations and Technology support of the Company’s technology platform. He has nearly 15 years of experience working with product development companies, both in wealth management and retirement industries.
Before Envestnet Retirement Solutions, Sunod was Vice President of FinaConnect, heading Operations, Technology support and Infrastructure teams, where he also carried out effective client relationships. Prior to joining FinaConnect as a founding team member in 2008, he served as a lead programmer at Envestnet India where he was part of the engineering team responsible for building the wealth management product.
Sunod is a graduate from Kerala University and holds an advanced diploma in computer science and engineering from CMC Limited.
Vice President, Managed Accounts
Ted Ponko joined KD Advisors as its Chief Investment Officer at its inception in 2010. He was the Senior Product Analyst with Klein Decisions, Inc., an investment solutions and research company located in Research Triangle Park, NC. He has over 20 years’ experience in investment management, portfolio analytics, and retirement plan design and service. Prior to joining Klein in 2007, he served as Chief Investment Officer for the Actuarial Consulting Group, Richmond, VA (1/2006-3/2007), and held the same position with Glenwood Capital, Raleigh, NC (1/1999-9/2003).
Ted received a B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia (1978). He subsequently earned his M.A. (1980) degree and PhD (1983) from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a CFA® charterholder with the CFA Institute, which consists of 250 hours of study and three six-hour exams. Ted also holds designations as a ChFC®, which consists of seven core and two elective classes and an examination for each course, and a Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) Certification- is cosponsored by the International Foundation and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Vice President, Product Management
Mr. Murray has over 25 years of experience in retirement, wealth management and software product development. Murray joined Envestnet in 2014 and is responsible for product management activities with Envestnet Retirement Solutions, focusing on managed accounts, retirement readiness, and retirement income strategies.
Before joining Envestnet, Murray held positions within the wealth management and retirement industries at Klein Decisions, Informa Investment Solutions, Checkfree Investment Services and Mobius Group. Murray’s responsibilities spanned various disciplines such as software design, software development, business analysis, project management, client implementations and product management.
Murray holds a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Vice President, Analytics and Quality Assurance
Venkatesh Prasad has over 25 years experience in software development, working in industries like CAD, power systems, health and finance. Prasad has developed parallel processing algorithms that were used in CDAC's Super Computer PARAM. He has developed web applications for several startups, and most recently focused on developing the Analytics engine for the FinaConnect platform. Prasad leads the Quality Assurance team for Envestnet Retirement Solutions, ensuring quality and integrity of all system enhancements.
Prasad has an engineering degree from the University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering, Bangalore.
Vice President, Compliance Solutions
Mr. Avdic has over 17 years of experience providing world-class software technology solutions in the financial, online and services verticals. Avdic joined Castle Rock Innovations in 2013, now part of Envestnet Retirement Solutions, to direct all aspects of development and delivery of the AXIS Retirement Plan Analytics Platform for a growing number of country's top broker dealers, record keepers, banks and insurance companies. In several short years, Avdic achieved highest levels of operational efficiency, platform architectural integrity and overall client satisfaction.
Prior to Castle Rock Innovations, Avdic notably held a position as a key technology manager and the chief software architect at Legacy.com. At Legacy.com, Avdic built the foundation for a sustainable company's growth by establishing the enterprise product development lifecycle and software architecture based on Software Craftsmanship. Besides Legacy.com, Avdic held senior management/technical positions at Deloitte, Wachovia Securities, and several other companies.
Avdic holds a M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Lamar University and a B.S. degree from Moscow Stali & Splavov Institute.
Vice President, Engineering
Krishna Kumar is VP of Engineering, where he applies his keen product development skills and software engineering skills to work. An engineering graduate in computer science from the University of Kerala, he has 20 years of rich experience in product development with an exclusive focus on finance domain for the last 13 years.
Kumar began his career by cofounding Oviyam Infosolutions in 1996 which specialized in developing products for customers in financial services and medical industry. Since then he was part of two startups / early stage companies. He joined Net Asset Management in 2002 as a software consultant where he was part of a small engineering team responsible for building the wealth management product. Kumar joined FinaConnect in 2009 as a founding team member. At Envestnet Retirement Solutions, Kumar continues to play a transformational role in the evolution of retirement platform.
Vice President, Technology
Mr. Gopi is a technologist with more than 13 years of experience in the retirement area. He joined Envestnet in 2002 and has led the design, development and implementation of various high availability web applications for Envestnet’s premier clients. Gopi is responsible for third party integrations, platform development and new client onboarding. Having extensive experience in Envestnet’s Wealth Management platform, he is a key player in Envestnet Retirement Solutions-UMP integration.
Gopi holds a B.S. degree in Commerce from the University of Kerala.
Consultant, User Interface Design
Joseph Thomas is a UI/UX designer with more than 13 years of experience. He began his career as an office executive and his passion for design led him to modern user interfaces and user experience. Mr. Thomas joined Envestnet in 2006 and has led various design initiatives of the organization. Currently, he is responsible for the overall UI/UX initiatives of Envestnet Retirement Solutions and particularly of the next-generation retirement platform. Before joining Envestnet, he led an India based design and development team for Empowered Marketing, USA.
Thomas is founder of the first Malayalam podcast and a social media platform for amateur musicians called Blogswara. In 2009, he was featured in "Connected Indians", an online initiative of Intel Technology India to spread awareness on internet adoption in India.
