Partnership Makes New Fiduciary Education Available to Retirement Advisors
by Envestnet | Retirement Solutions - Feb. 8, 2017
CHICAGO, Feb. 8, 2017 -- Envestnet | Retirement Solutions (“ERS”) announces it is partnering with The Retirement Advisor University (“TRAU”) to deliver the “Essential Retirement Advisor,” a fully integrated fiduciary training program designed to help financial advisors obtain access to continuing practice management and fiduciary education in order to meet their obligations and thrive in a fee-based fiduciary world. The relationship is another example of ERS’s long-term commitment to helping advisors be more successful in their practices and better serve the retirement needs of their clients.
Changing market dynamics and evolving regulations have led many broker-dealers and Registered Investment Advisers (“RIA”) to seek out ongoing education support to ensure their entire teams fulfill their fiduciary responsibility, whether they work on defined contribution plans or individual retirement accounts.
“TRAU has an impressive track record of engaging plan advisors through their comprehensive training program in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. This partnership is an extension of our mutual commitment to supporting retirement advisors’ efforts to strengthen their practices, and to improving outcomes for advisors, plan sponsors, and their participants,” said Babu Sivadasan, President of Envestnet | Retirement Solutions. “Fiduciary training, available on-demand, enables advisors and their teams to become ‘essential fiduciary advisors,’ which advances our shared mission.”
TRAU’s comprehensive fiduciary training program, developed in conjunction with the Envestnet Institute, is an online and in-person educational curriculum designed for the advisor who is new to the retirement plan space, as well as the space’s most sophisticated and focused RIAs. Certified advisors will be authorized to deliver proprietary fiduciary training content online and in-person to their plan sponsor clients and prospects.
The program will be introduced at this year’s Envestnet Advisor Summit, scheduled to take place May 3-5, 2017 at the Gaylord Texan Resort and Convention Center in Dallas. To register for the Envestnet Advisor Summit, please visit: http://envestnet.com/advisorsummit/
“Practice management in a fee-based fiduciary retirement world is dramatically changing the way advisors, broker-dealers, and RIAs will conduct business. We believe ERS is uniquely positioned to deliver an integrated practice management platform to help retirement advisors adapt,” said Fred Barstein, CEO and Founder of The Retirement Advisor University. “The partnership between ERS and TRAU creates an efficient framework for advisors to deliver retirement solutions to individual and corporate clients which are in every client’s best interest.”
